In her practice, Vienna based artist Helena Sekot (*1996 in Weinheim, Germany) explores themes of permanence and transience through materials such as ceramics and glass. She frequently expands her practice through photographic, sound-based, and video installations.
Her interdisciplinary works have been presented in the solo exhibition Lichte Substanz as part of the “Keramik im Pulverturm” prize in Oldenburg, as well as in numerous group exhibitions. Building on her master’s thesis I Live Until I Dry, she is currently presenting a new series of works at Gmundner Keramik, centered on moor landscapes and developed during her residency at AoCG.
